Dr. Geethanjali Ramamurthy, MD is a Co-founding Partner and Vice President of FortWorth Renal Group. She has been in practice in the Fort Worth area since 2003. After completing Medical School at the top of her class in India, she went on to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and Fellowship in Nephrology at Henry Ford Hospital, also in Detroit. She completed both programs in 2003. She is currently board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Her interests in Nephrology are in the fields of glomerulonephritis, management of chronic kidney disease (CKD), nephrolithiasis (kidney stones) and managing and caring for patients on dialysis. She has been actively involved in several clinical research studies and shares a special interest in it. She also takes an interest in teaching resident students and has done so over the past 12 years at JPS hospital while practicing there.
She was the Medical Director of the dialysis unit at JPS for over a decade. In addition, she was the Medical Director of US Renal Care (USRC) Grand Prairie for over 13 years and USRC East Fort Worth. During her time at USRC Grand Prairie, the clinic was ranked No 1 for seven years in the North Texas Region for quality measures.
She was voted Fort Worth Top Doc in 2015 & 2017 by her peers.
Dr. Ramamurthy is happily married and has one daughter, who she loves spending time with. In her spare time, she loves to read books, travel, be involved in physical fitness and loves the outdoors.
